1. Event Submission Policy
We’re proud to support local events across the Lakeland. To maintain a high-quality experience for attendees and organizers, please review the following before submitting your event to lakelandevents.ca.
✔️ Requirements:

All events must be lawful, inclusive, and appropriate for a public audience.

You are responsible for ensuring your event complies with municipal bylaws, AGLC licensing (if applicable), and all necessary permits or insurance.

Only submit events you are authorized to promote.

Events should take place in the Lakeland region (e.g., Bonnyville, Cold Lake, St. Paul, Lac La Biche, etc.).

We reserve the right to edit or decline submissions that are incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate.

By submitting an event, you grant Lakeland Events the right to promote it across our website, social media channels, and digital publications.

You are responsible for notifying us of any changes or cancellations.
2. Code of Conduct (for Attendees & Volunteers)
We believe in safe, inclusive, and respectful community events. By attending or participating in any event listed on lakelandevents.ca, you agree to the following:

Treat others with respect, courtesy, and kindness.

Follow the instructions of event staff and security personnel.

Refrain from harassment, hate speech, or aggressive behaviour.

Only consume alcohol in designated, licensed areas (if applicable).

Maintain a safe and clean environment for everyone.
Lakeland Events and its partners reserve the right to remove any individual from an event for disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behaviour, without refund.
3. Photography & Media Policy
Many of the events promoted through Lakeland Events are photographed or filmed for marketing and promotional purposes.
✔️ By attending or participating, you understand that:

Photos or video may be captured at the event.

You or your group may appear in promotional materials, both digital and print.

These images may be used by Lakeland Events and its partners for promotional purposes only.

If you do not wish to appear in any media, please notify event staff at check-in.
We respect your privacy and will always handle event media with care and respect.
4. Event Cancellation & Postponement Policy
We do our best to keep our event listings up to date, but sometimes plans change.
✔️ Please note:

Lakeland Events is not responsible for cancellations or changes made by third-party event organizers.

If an event is cancelled, we will post an update as soon as we are notified.

If an event is postponed, your ticket (if purchased through us) may still be valid for the rescheduled date.

Refunds are not guaranteed and are subject to the organizer’s own policy.

Events may be delayed or cancelled due to weather, public health orders, or other unforeseen circumstances.
