Raising Funds While Supporting Local Events

Our Fundraising Program allows non-profit groups to earn money by working at Lakeland Events. Whether you’re serving, cleaning up, checking tickets, or helping behind the scenes—your time helps make events run smoothly and supports your cause.

Eligibility

To participate, your group must:

  • Be a registered non-profit, team, club, school, or community organization.

  • Be able to provide a primary contact person (18+) to coordinate with our team.

  • Supply volunteers who meet age and certification requirements for each role:

    • Clean-Up Crew & Misc. Roles: Ages 13+ (parental consent required for minors)

    • Servers & Bartenders: Ages 18+ with valid ProServe

    • Security Roles: Ages 18+ with valid ProServe & ProTect

Groups do not need charitable status but must be raising funds for a non-commercial purpose (e.g., equipment, travel, programming, facility improvements, etc.).

How It Works

  1. Fill out the Fundraising Application Form online.

  2. We match your group with available shifts and roles based on your size and availability.

  3. Your group members work the assigned event.

  4. Once the shift is completed, Lakeland Events issues payment to your organization.

Volunteer Expectations

All volunteers must:

  • Arrive on time and stay for the full shift.

  • Be respectful, reliable, and presentable—remember, you’re representing your group.

  • Follow all health, safety, and event-specific rules.

  • Adhere to liquor and security laws if working in a licensed or restricted role.

  • Wear provided credentials or uniforms (if applicable).

Groups that miss shifts or violate expectations may be removed from future opportunities.

Payment Information

  • Payments are made directly to your organization, not individuals.

  • Compensation varies by event and role, and will be confirmed in writing before each shift.

  • A T4A or acknowledgment of payment may be issued upon request if required by CRA guidelines.
