Looking to raise funds for your non-profit while helping keep events fun and safe? Join the Lakeland Events Security Team! We’re looking for calm, confident individuals to assist with security roles at local events—supporting the crowd, protecting the venue, and being a positive presence throughout.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor event entrances, exits, and restricted areas

• Conduct bag checks or ID checks where required

• Assist in crowd control and de-escalating any issues

• Ensure compliance with AGLC rules and venue safety policies

• Communicate with event staff and law enforcement if needed

• Report incidents promptly and accurately

• Support the overall safety and enjoyment of all guests

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Valid ProServe and ProTect certification (Alberta)

• Comfortable standing and walking for long periods

• Calm under pressure and able to handle conflict professionally

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Previous security or crowd management experience is an asset
